Like many constituents, I was surprised to learn that the Hon. James Moore (Conservative, Port Moody — Westwood — Port Coquitlam) has decided not to seek re-election this fall.
For 15 years, James has made a significant contribution to Canada’s political scene, to our Tri-Cities communities, and to the people who live and work here, and I offer my personal thanks for his many years of service.
I understand James’ decision to be closer to his family, especially in light of news regarding the health of his son, Spencer. It is difficult under the best of circumstances to divide one’s time between duty to family and duty to the community.
I share in the community’s best wishes for James and his family.
